Notre Dame Gives Charlie Another Year
So let me get this straight… you get paid millions of dollars to coach the most storied football program in America right? Yet, you lose at home to a Syracuse team with 8 loses? Then you travel to Southern California and cannot coach your team to a first down until the final play of the 3rd quarter? You’ve also had 4 years to turn this program around and have lost more games during the last two season than any head coach in school history. But today, ND Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick publicly announced he’s bringing you back for another year.
Swarbrick stated in a released statement, “Though this past season fell short of the expectations that all of us have for our football program, I am confident that Charlie has a strong foundation in place for future success and that the best course of action is to move forward under his leadership.”
Say what????? He needs to go… by the way, how have those New England Patriots been doing since this genius left four years ago?
And another thing… if Notre Dame wouldn’t have given CW that ridiculous contract they could be making a play at two superior coaches. Brian Kelly (Cincinnati) and Mike Leach (Texas Tech) have proven to be special offensive coaches that would have made the jump from the current jobs to Notre Dame.
