NFL Stays Progressive

You have to give it up to The Shield (NFL) because they continue to push for reforms at all levels when it comes to hiring diverse talent (after many years of ignoring it). The Rooney Rule was adopted to mandate that minority candidates be interviewed for any and all vacant head coaching positions. 

Today, the Associated Press reports that the NFL is looking at expanding that rule to include the hiring of general managers. Read the story here.
