The haters are still gonna hate, but damn give Killa Kobe his due! The man has finally led a team to that elusive Championship. I can’t wait to see the puppet commercial they have for us next.
Much respect to Killa for doing it well!!!
Game 4 is do or die for LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Not only are they losing the series 2 games to 1, but the Cavaliers have been exposed as a 1-man show. The King is averaging more than 40 ppg and there is no good reason to believe he won’t continue to score at that pace. His teammates have performed so poorly (see Mo Williams, Big Z, etc.) offensively that one wonders if Head Coach Mike Brown has filed a missing persons report.
The Orlando Magic deserve a lot of credit for Cleveland’s issues thus far. The Cavs have no answer for Hideo or Rashad (both 6’11”) after 3 games and that will not change. Add Dwight Howard to the list of matchup problems and you’ll quickly understand that Cleveland cannot contain that trio.
That being said, I believe tonight will be a stage for the best player on the planet… The King will make a great pre-game speech, score 40+ points, and dominate the flow of this game. He will be the reason why Cleveland will redirect the momentum of this series and eventually defeat the Orlando Magic in game 7.
Yo!!!!!!! Nike is running a funny campaign featuring LeBron and Kobe as roommates. Check this joint out.
Celtics Head Coach Doc Rivers asked for just 1 volunteer during halftime to step up and score the basketball in the 2nd half of game 2. I’m sure he didn’t think Ray Allen would be the man after scoring just 2 points in the first half. However, Ray Ray was the man in the second half scoring 28 points and hitting the game winning jumpshot with just 2 seconds left on the clock.
Welcome to the series Ray… He Still Got Game!
The King dropped 38 pts., grabbed 8 rebounds, and handed out 7 dimes against the Pistons in game 1. This one will be over in 5 games (Detroit wins a game on sheer guts).
LeBron and his sidekicks defeated the Indiana Pacers 117 – 109 yesterday and secured the top record in the NBA. This will give Cleveland home court advantage on their way to their first title run. Oops, I didn’t mean to say that. However, LeBron is leading this team like all great players do when they are ready to make that leap into the winner’s circle.
Killa Kobe Bryant is the only hero from the West competing in this year’s NBA Playoffs that can defeat the King from the Eastern Conference. Good money will have to laid at the feet of Bryant as he is a true murderer on the court.
Let the battle begin… last year’s NBA MVP vs. (by all accounts) this year’s NBA MVP!!!!
Kevin Garnett (former NBA MVP) needs to put the Boston Celtics on his back, lead them to a Game 6 victory and take them to the Conference Finals. Tonight in Cleveland, KG can add to his H.O.F. stature by being the best player on the court and the primary reason the Celtics advance over LeBron’s Cavaliers.
KG… Bill Russell is watching you!
Chris Paul aka CP3 and the young New Orleans Hornets are now a game away from the Western Conference Finals. Last night, the Hornets beat the defending champions 101 – 79. The San Antonio Spurs have lost each of the three games in New Orleans by large margins. Even if the Spurs win game 6 at home, they haven’t shown any signs of being competitive in the Hornets’ building for 48 minutes.
David West was a beast on his way to a career playoff high of 38 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. And the Spurs continue to have absolutely no answer for CP3 who scored 22 points (16 second half) and 14 assists.
This series will come back to the Big Easy and the Hornets will win that game and make it to a Conference Finals for the first time in team history.
So what did we learn so far this week… that Roger Clemens really likes country music and the women that sing it. Can you believe this cat (allegedly) had a 10-year affair with Mindy McCready that began when she was 15? The wheels have come off the Rocket Man’s ship in 2008.
Byron Scott, New Orleans Hornets Head Coach, won the 2007 – 08 NBA Coach of The Year Award. It’s been a great year for the B-Ball team in the Big Easy… and CP3 just sent Kidd’s Mavericks home from the playoffs tonight.
Miami Dolphins select Michigan tackle Jake Long #1 in the 2008 NFL Draft. Many believe that this was a good choice for the ‘Phins because he can be moved from left takle to guard if he cannot handle the speed rushers in the league. Our position is that Miami and the St. Louis Rams will be greatly disappointed with their choices. The took good players not great… yet, they have to pay them like great players. The best player in the draft was selected by the Oakland Raiders.
